Over the past 10 weeks, I had the valuable opportunity to intern at GTB Business Center, Taiwan’s leading provider of flexible commercial office solutions. Entering this internship with no prior experience in the commercial real estate industry, I was met with an incredibly supportive and dynamic environment that encouraged learning, initiative, and collaboration.
The company’s work culture and environment was both professional and welcoming. I was especially inspired by how driven yet approachable my colleagues were as well as how comfortable the office turned out to be. From my very first day, I felt included, trusted, and comfortable in this space, which motivated me to actively contribute to open discussions and constantly learn more from my peers.
Throughout my time in the marketing department, I worked on a number of impactful projects, including customer data point analysis through GTB-Space’s internal CDP system, researching space utilization trends in Taipei, and helping design a more efficient client loyalty program. These experiences sharpened my analytical thinking and taught me how data can directly inform strategic decisions in both marketing and commercial real estate.
One of my biggest takeaways was learning how real estate, customer experience, and brand strategy are deeply connected. I now see how important it is to not only deliver a service but to understand the people behind it, and to use data and creativity together to provide long-term value.
Looking ahead, this internship has sparked a new interest in commercial real estate consulting and has shown me how much I enjoy applying research, marketing, and business strategy in a real-world setting. I am sincerely thankful to my mentors and colleagues, especially Jeff, Michelle, Vicky, Evient, and Hsuan, for their guidance and encouragement.
Overall, my time at GTB Business Center has been both eye-opening and rewarding—one that I’ll carry with me as I continue to grow professionally.
